Description:
This is the second iteration of the Atari Lynx hand-held games console with many improvements over the original Epyx designed unit. The Lynx II is smaller and lighter with a much more durable plastic enclosure. The Lynx II also had better battery life, an improved back-lit LCD screen and stereo sound from the headphone socket. Atari also added rubber hand grips to the rear.
| The 'Lynx I' suffered with severe weathering of it's painted finish. Finding one today which looks nice is very difficult. Paint would wear away very quickly around the corners, battery compartment and hand grip revealing the material underneath. The redesigned Lynx II has a far superior all plastic finish.
