Description:
The LW-200 is an electronic typewriter which was manufactured at Brothers UK factory between 1995 and 2001. This is one of the second generation LW models with a daisy-wheel printer, 80 x 7 character LCD display and 1.44MB 3.5" floppy disk drive.
In July 1985, Brother - the Japanese technology company, produced their first electronic typewriter called the AX-10 at the UK factory in Wrexham. In 2012, due to lack of demand for typewriters, Brother ended production after 27 years and 5.9 million machines. The very last unit came off the production line on 20th November and now resides at the Science Museum in London.
